CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED - starts 3rd Feb
Do you know someone who might be interested in making a fresh start and learning the basics of Christianity? Could you bring them along to Christianity Explored, or let them know its coming up? They'll get a chance to check out Jesus for themselves and ask as many questions as they want. Includes dinner! The 4 sessions will be on Wednesday nights, 6-8pm at Chris', kicking off 3rd Feb. Rego essential, sign up here. YOUTH AND SALT Youth kicks off this year on the 29th of January! To kick off the year we'll be having a bit of a party at the Tuncurry Rockpool. This will be open to both Riptide (Yrs 7-10) and Seniors (Yrs 11-12). The Seniors group will kick off on Monday 1st of Febuary. Salt also kicks off on the 29th of Jan! For any more info contact Codan at [email protected] or 0403 310 633 KIDS CHURCH From Sunday January 31st there will be a few changes for Kids & Arvo Church to be aware of as parents at Coast. This term we're gonna be having a crack at kids starting IN Arvo Church with us. I'm excited for families to get a bit of time singing God's praises together and for visitors not to have to part with their kids before they make it into the hall. We'll be moving the sign in table next to the service check-in so be sure to sign your kids in before heading into Arvo church together. After the singing together we'll pray for the kids and they'll head out with their leaders straight to their classes. We're also moving the Kids Church all-in time to the end so that all the kids end up back in the same place for sign-out. Hopefully this should make things simpler for parents too (especially visitors). We've rejigged the classes a little for term one as well. There are now 3 age groups: Preschool + Creche (1-5 yo) with Sharon Ekins as Team Leader, Infants (K-2) with Dave Hazlewood as Team Leader and Primary (yr 3-6) with Amanda Pakalniskis as Team Leader. Please be praying for these legends as well as the other teachers and helpers in the lead up to the term as we seek to partner together to see Coast kids growing as disciples of Jesus.
  PRAYER MEETING (WEEKLY)
James 5:15 says, "The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." Our Sovereign God is fully convinced that prayer is a difference-maker in a world that needs different. Over the last few months, some of us have gathered over Zoom to pray for Coast and our region. We only prayer for 15 minutes or so - as people get ready for their day or travel to work - cracker way to kick off the morning. However, I've struggled (and I know others have as well!) to get into a good habit with it being monthly. I'm a person of routine and I prefer my weeks to have a familiar rhythm to them. Plus, spending time with God and saints that love praying is a golden combo - so, in 2021, we are heading back to WEEKLY! #partypoppers, #streamers, #glitter, #flyingpenguins Whack it in your reminders/calendars/diaries - EVERY Wednesday, 7:30am on Zoom be doing one of the most powerful things you could do this side of heaven. Together. Virtually.... I'll send out reminders for the first few weeks to help people get used to the new rhythm (then I'll stop cause people will start hating me....). Would absolutely love it if you jumped in every week or just when you can! The more the merrier and if it's only me then, no worries, I get to pray whilst watching myself on the screen...#deadsetperkseverywhere Click on the link to make a difference. https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7532202633

I hope 2021 has kicked off well for everyone! Here is a quick snapshot of how our local giving finished up at the end of 2020. Overall, local giving ended 2020 $4,579 behind budget. Our local cash giving was about $25,000 behind budget, largely due to not being able to gather during Covid restrictions. Local direct online giving was just over $20,000 ahead of budget! Praise God for the continued generosity of his people!
