Coast Card 1st January 2021

Hey family!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Check this out. There is finally some action happening on our block of land!

Some heavy machinery has been removing some trees. We have been working with Council's senior ecologist to work out which trees need to stay and complying with Council's conditions to establish the site as a firebreak to help reduce the threat of bushfire damage to nearby houses. Please pray that as we head towards finalising our design and commencing construction, that the Lord would give us wisdom, the resources to build, and that the site would become a real hub for gospel ministry in our region for generations to come."

We are going to miss our 3 2020 GAPers big time! Thanks Juliette, Cooper & Liam for getting amongst it with us this year. You have all been a huge blessing to the CoastEC family. Looking forward to seeing how God continues to grow and use you. Our prayer is that the gospel will shape you in all ways, for all your days. Run hard!

And a big welcome to our 2021 crew - Eden, Lachie & Meg! Pumped that they have signed on for the year. Please be praying for them as they kick off this Sunday (3rd Jan), and especially for GAP-O Week (4-8th Jan)!

EARLY TO CHURCH?
We have been thinking about how we can increase our love as a church and we have a really simple  idea - Come to church about 10 mins early. Although, this means giving up one of our core Forstarian values, I think It'll be a really good and loving thing to do for three reasons:
  1.  At the moment there are lots of visitors checking out Coast, which is great! However, when people check stuff out for the first time they usually come right on the advertised time, So I think it would be awesome if we were all there as a church family to welcome them together as they come to our church service.
  2. It's only once a week that we get to see all the brothers and sisters at Coast in one place. I think it would be really cool if we got to spend some extra time together to encourage one another and serve each other as we follow Jesus together.
  3. And lastly (this is kind of the boring one), coming early helps everyone check-in before the service starts. If everyone comes early, it allows everyone to do their COVID Check-in and have a bit of a chat before things start, without lots of people getting stuck at the check-in table.
