Youth Ministry 2010 Update

In 2009 we ran...

GROMMETS

A youth group for years 5 and 6 kids that ran on Friday arvo’s at the Forster Public School Hall (it started on Friday 15th May 2009) and ran during the school term.
Each week there was a short Bible talk, fun activities, and time to chill out.

CHICKS

chicks is a youth girls home group for girls in high school. We'd have a great time meeting during the term in the arvo's. We'd also play a game, eat munchies and look at what the Bible has to say to us.

For 2010 were EXCITED and will be running...

GROMMETS!

Fridays - 3:30pm - 5:00pm @ Scout Hall
(Cnr Macintosh St & Lake St,
Forster) - Starts 29th January

CHICKS!

Tuesdays - 4:00pm - 5:40pm @ 28 Belton Way, Forster - Starts 2 February

AND....

WIRED!

A brand new youth group for years 7 - 9 high schoolers
Fridays - 5:15pm - 7:00pm @ Scout Hall
(Cnr Macintosh St & Lake St,
Forster) - Starts 29th January

PLUS

• We're trying to start a SUPA Club
• Alicia will be hanging out in the local high schools for about 3 hours a week (getting alongside the Chaplains)
• We're hoping to teach year 5-6 scripture in the local primary schools
• AND (along with others)... We're trying to get SRE in the local high schools for year 7 students

Meet Evan and Alicia (our youth ministers)

Ev and Leesh are stoked about hanging out with youth and are pumped that Grommets and chicks are up and running (and that they can start Wired this year!). They love teaching God's Word and believe it has the power to change hearts and lives - anyone who comes to Grommets, Wired or chicks will have the opportunity to get to know our awesome God better and have a great time doing it.
