Prayer Update Feb/Mar 17

Hey friends of CoastEC!

We've been at Forster for 8 years now! God has grown our family (Caleb is 8, Hannah is 6 and Chloe is 4) and He's grown His Church in some amazingly beautiful ways. Sharon and I are still happily married, and love serving the Lord together in this town. Caleb is getting baptised on 5th Feb (and he's excited that his Godfather Neil is coming up to baptise him). My dad is still in remission (and my parents are celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary this weekend) so I'm thanking for many blessings.

I also thank God for your ongoing friendship, encouragement and support. Here's a small dose of what's been happening (and what's coming up) so you can pray in an informed way. God bless ya,
Chris (on behalf of CoastEC)
What's happening?
We're gonna have a crack at starting a few new churches over the next 3 years with this guy!

Joel Hill, our first church planter apprentice, has joined the team! God willing, he will help us start a CoastEC congregation up at Hallidays Point (in 2017), then head off to plant an Independent Church in Taree (in 2019) with a view to further planting in the surrounding suburbs.
In partnership with other local churches, we've employed our first SRE teacher. Jose Vergara will start in Feb. Please pray for a good working relationship with the school and students!

Coming Up....

We've got 15 people signed up for this 7 session course starting Wed 1st Feb. This is the first time we've run it and we're stoked with how many people are interested in learning about Jesus. Please pray for the Holy Spirit to open their eyes and hearts, and to draw them to Christ. Thank God for Ann's hospitality as we're meeting at her place.

Holidays (1-11 March)

We're looking forward to some time off to recharge the batteries. Can't wait to hang out with my family, see some good friends, hit the beach and hopefully catch some fish. Please pray for safety and refreshment.

We thank God for His amazing provision and the generosity of His people. Last year we were able to fund 71% of our expenses from local giving. Employing another staff member and starting a new congregation will obviously cost more money. So can you please prayerfully consider making a one off donation toward these specific projects (or increasing your regular giving for 2017)? If you'd like to set up direct giving to the church account, details are HERE

VISION 2017 / AGM (26th Feb)

This is our annual vision day. Please ask for like-mindedness as we present our plans for the coming years, and that God would provide for our needs as we seek to undertake some bold new initiatives (like more church planting, and buying land to build a facility on)

 CAP Money Course (21st March)

We're running a free money management course in partnership with Christians Against Poverty. It's designed to help people get out of debt and to be wise stewards of their money. Thank God for Mark & Kerrie who run the course. Ask God to help those attend to find financial freedom.
