Hey friends! We certainly live in a beautiful part of God's world!
It's a tough assignment, but someone's got to do it, right?
The kids are all enjoying school at the moment! Here they are, ready for another day at Forster Public.
Thanks for you prayers, encouargement, friendship and generosity!
Here's some stuff to keep you up to date, and ready to pray!
God bless ya!
Chris (on behalf of CoastEC)
What's been happening?CHURCH CATERING TEAM ON FIRE!
I'm thankful for all our ministry teams who serve the Body of Christ with their gifts.
About 80% of regular attenders are part of a serving team.
Here's a sample of what the Catering Team serve up for arvo tea on Sundays!
VENUE FOR NEW CHURCH IN TAREE
We know that the church is not a building (it's the people) and that our true home is in heaven (not on earth), but buildings are great to gather in!
There are very few community facilities that work well for the style of gatherings we think are most effective for making more and better disciples.
Joel had previously lined up Taree West Primary School with the agreement of the principal, but when he went in to sign the lease papers the principal said the P&C voted against it because "they didn't want to be seen to endorse a religious group”.
We're thankful that God has provided the PCYC as a base to kick off Sunday gatherings from March next year!
Praise God for a venue for Manning Bible Church!
Please also keep praying for Joel Hill and the MBC launch team as they pray and prepare to plant this new independent church.
STAFF CONFERENCE (28-31 Oct)Our staff team will be doing some training, reviewing the previous year, and planning the year ahead (in light of our Dream and Scheme day).
Thank God for the great relationships we have on our team.
Ask for continued like-mindedness and brotherly/sisterly love.
Ask God to grow us as disciples of Jesus.
Ask for wisdom, and that we'd use our time as effectively as possible.
LIFE (6-28 Nov)
This is our big evangelistic course run over 4 nights, at both Hallidays and Forster.
Pray for God to provide suitable venues (At Hallidays, we're hoping to use Blackhead Bowlo or the Surf Club, and at Forster, we're hoping to use The Balcony Cafe, because Minty's Cafe got sold is not unavailable).
Please ask for boldness for our people to invite their friends.
Pray for many to come and check out Life with Jesus, and that they'd respond with faith and repentance.
Pray we can do a great job of following them up and ground them in the faith.
MTSPlease pray for Codan Pakalniskis and Lisa Gohl as they prepare to come on board to do MTS.
The Ministry Training Strategy is designed to help equip and assess people for full time ministry.
Codan is a home grown fella who did our GAP Year program a few years back.
Lisa also did our GAP year program when she was over here on a working holiday from Canada. Please pray for her Visa to be granted.
We are really excited about the opportunity to invest in and train the next generation of leaders, and we are thankful to God for answering our prayers by raising up these guys! Ask the Father to equip them well as we seek to ground them in the Word, grow them in godliness, and skill them up.

"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart"
