Prayer Update (June/July 2020)

Hey Friends!
Here's a few things to keep you in the loop and up to date so you can pray for us!
We actually had a pretty good time in lockdown. Home learning wasn't all that fun, but we made up for it in other ways.
Caleb caught his first jewie! (the biggest one in the pic)

Fish Skullz!
He wanted a momento, so here's the skull we kept and glued back together!

Shark Attack!
A small Great White shark ate his second one!
(then circled the boat for a while, and Caleb even got to touch it!)

We welcomed Bella the Cavoodle into our family.

Chloe turned 8!
Great kid! Full of life. Loves The Lord (and ice cream).

What's been happening?

John and Treena recently attended Christianity Explored and met Jesus for themselves. They are now part of an online bible study group. They are hungry for God's Word, have lots of joy, and are being transformed at a rapid rate!
Thank God for drawing John and Treena to Himself!

Social distancing and restrictions on large gatherings don't mean delaying baptisms - especially when the family have got a pool in their own backyard!
Please pray for God to keep growing Bri and Ariella in their love for the Lord, and likeness to His Son.

Like everyone else, we scrambled to make the transition from in-person to online ministries.

Praise God for the opportunity we've had to 'gather' online for Church and via Zoom for our Home Groups.

Thank God for Marty's hard work with all the tech and music stuff!
You can join us online at 4pm on Sundays, or check out our past services on our Youtube Channel.
After years of planning, prayer and prep, we launched Manning Bible Church publicly on the 15th March (the week before lockdown!)
Pray for Joel Hill as he leads this new ministry in this strange new context!
Ask God to use online church to connect with new people.
Pray for the launch team to stay motivated and mission driven.
Check out their website here for more info.
With restrictions easing and church gatherings of 50 on the cards again, please pray for wisdom as we navigate the way forward.
There are a bazillion factors to take into account, and the situation is fairly fluid, which makes it tricky.
Since we don't have our own facilities (yet!), we are also hampered by the unavailability of the venues we usually rent (and it looks like some may not be available for quite some time).
All this calls for patience, grace, some more patience, and a double dose of wisdom.

Its been a tough time for many with losses of jobs and income.
As a church, we're also feeling it (with no cash collections from our Sunday Services)
We are behind budget by a fair chunk, so would love you to invest in our ministries by giving generously if you're able.
Even a small gift would go a long way!
So go on - click THIS for details - and make a sweet investment!
Philippians 1:3-7
"I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart"
